This magnesium chloride bath not only possesses palliative properties (pain and muscle spasm relief), it possesses restorative properties as well. By combing magnesium chloride bath flakes, sodium bicarbonate (Baking Soda) and Epsom Salt (magnesium sulfate), you have a potent trifecta supporting health and wellness. I love this magnesium bath; it’s great for soothing skin irritation, boosting magnesium levels, tissue purification, cellular detoxification and more. It’s a staple in our household and my patients love it too. I recommend that it be done 2-3 times every week for continued results. It’s the best spa bath you will ever take and the effects are almost miraculous.
This bath provides an ample supply of magnesium that’s absorbed transdermally. This bath also supplies sulfur, chloride, sodium, and bicarbonate. The Baking Soda helps to draw out, the sulfur does it’s magic on the skin, with the mag and chloride working its wonders throughout the body – inside and out.
From handling simple body aches and pains, to combating various skin conditions, to supporting those with GI-related conditions (IBS, IBD, constipation, cramping), cancer, autoimmune diseases, low thyroid, restless leg syndrome, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, Parkinson’s, ADD/ADHD, migraine headaches, plantar fasciitis and many others body issues.
Magnesium Bath Recipe:
- Mag Chloride Bath Flakes – 2 cups (where to order)
- Epsom Salt – 1 cup
- Baking Soda – 1 lb box (Any baking soda will do. There is no aluminum in baking soda, so no need to spend money for Bob’s Red Mill brand).
Pour all ingredients in a hot bath and soak for 30 or more minutes. Repeat this every 3 days or as needed.
Note: If you have a scale, weigh yourself before going into the bath. Due to the hot water and the healing properties of this bath, you may lose between 1/2-1.5 lbs. This is an indicator that you will need to re-hydrate. Re-hydration is more than consuming plain water. I recommend adding some Seasons 90 Baja Gold Sea Salt to your water. This will help to replenish your electrolytes. You can also make fresh vegetable juice that contains carrot, celery, and cucumber.

This bath truly works wonders. I’ve been taking and recommending mag baths for years. But if you need more information, here are some great resources on its benefits:

Would it be helpful to also add half a teaspoon ascorbic acid to neutralize the chlorine in the water?
Nathan,
Yes! Thank you for bringing up that point. I didn’t think of that because I have a whole-house water filtration system. I will add that to the document and this link that discusses the entire topic.
Thank you again.

I am a morgellons patient, I am sure. I have been experiencing the symptoms one by one for nearly a year. I am miserable. My home, my dog and myself are infested /infected. I’m at my wits end–so mi uch of what I read strongly suggests a bath of one kind or another. I have no bathtub, just a walk in shower. I am covered with blue fluorescent fibers coming out of my skin. They are in, and on, every inch of everything in my home, clothing, dog, me, every surface and embedded in my cheap, dirty, paper thin, disgusting carpet without padding. (I live in a handicapped unit meant for a wheelchair, though I am not in a wheelchair, so it has been like walking on cement for 6 years! Complete gutting renovation coming soon, but what? Am I just going to introduce it to my new place? The shit is invisible, and freely floats around everywhere in my house. I cannot control it. I am desperate!
Cindi,
I understand there is a problem. I do not know what it is. It would be best to hire a professional to mitigate what might be in your house after the demo and before new construction starts.

What is better, drink magnesium in powder or magnesium baths?
I recommend both.

Having experienced recurring bladder infections (E Coli), how can I determine if I am dealing with biofilm?
Mary,
There is no simple way. Statistically speaking, biofilm is most likely part of the equation.

Any feedback in reference to rehydrating the skin from the outside after these baths?
Jane,
I’m addicted to apricot kernel oil for that purpose. It’s very sheer. There isn’t a heavy, oily feel that most other oils have. It just rubs right into the skin with no mess or stickiness. Your skin will glow and feel very hydrated.
I hope this helps.
